With the increase of mileage of expressway
opened to traffic in China, networks of expressway are gradually
formed in many provinces (cities), leading to more difficulties
and higher requirements for toll charging. Traditional charging
methods are no longer able to meet peoples ¡®requirements for
efficient, convenient and rapid charging system.
To meet the above requirements, Guangdong Xinyue Transportation
Investment Co, Ltd, under the commission of Guangdong Provincial
Department of Transportation and Guangdong Transportation
Group, worked out unified planning of expressway thorughout
Guangdong, invited specialized software developers and experts
in Operation& Management to develop expressway combined charging
system software that is capable of meeting requirements for
expressway network toll charging and paying tolls without stopping.
Combined network toll charging system implements computerized
management of the vehicles coming and going on the expressway
network with non-touch IC card (pay ticket is the alternative
plan) with the pass and is a integrated comprehensive information
processing software system for toll charging of closed expressway
combining the functions of monitoring, controlling, checking
and managing.
Meanwhile, combined network toll charging system uses ¡®two-chip
electronics tag double interface CPU card¡¯ toll charging technology,
enabling seamless link between manual toll charging and electronic
toll charging and traveling around the province with only
one card. When used in conjunction with two-chip electronic
tag, rapid and efficient electronic toll charging service
without stopping can be achieved without human intervention.
